Guest tickets

Share the day with those you love.

Each graduand is guaranteed two guest tickets in Central Hall for their ceremony. These must be requested through the Ede and Ravenscroft academic hub:

Request your guest tickets (Ede and Ravenscroft academic hub)

You must specifically request your guest tickets through Ede and Ravenscroft - they will not be allocated automatically.

You cannot request guest tickets until after you have registered for your ceremony via e:vision

  • Guest tickets are allocated in Central Hall.
  • If space remains in Central Hall once registration closes, more tickets will be made available through Ede and Ravenscroft on a first come, first served basis.
  • Unticketed Live Screening Rooms are available on campus for any additional guests.
  • Tickets are supplied as e-tickets (printed tickets are not provided).

Your guest tickets

The tickets supplied by Ede and Ravenscroft are e-tickets. Each ticket is unique to you and your guests and is non-transferable. Printed tickets are not provided.

Graduands are asked to be seated in Central Hall 45 minutes before the start of your ceremony. Your guests are invited into Central Hall 20 minutes before the start of the ceremony.

You can request a maximum of two guest tickets initially. Additional tickets may be available if space remains after registration has closed. These are available on a first-come, first-served basis on the Ede and Ravenscroft academic hub. Additional tickets for Central Hall are not available on the day.

Guests with children

For health and safety purposes, we are required to have an accurate count of guest numbers, including babies and children, in all of our main spaces.

As such, all guests including babies and children (even if they are sitting on an adult's knee) require a ticket.

Graduands should include any babies or children when requesting the total number of tickets that they would like for their ceremony.

Visa requirements for guests

If you'd like to bring guests who require immigration permission to enter the UK, the Graduation Office can produce a letter explaining this as their purpose.

Letters can be obtained through the Your Study page on e:vision once you have registered to attend your ceremony. (Click the 'Graduation Ceremony Visa Letter Request' link at the bottom of the graduation section.)

The University's Immigration Advice Service are happy to deal with specialist queries about visa requirements.
