Department: School of Physics, Engineering & Technology
Team: Dr Andrew Mizumori Hirst, Rebecca Caton, Khairunnisa Hassan
Summary
The School of Physics, Engineering and Technology (PET) is the lead partner in the White Rose Industrial Physics Academy (WRIPA). WRIPA is a collaboration between technical industries and five university physics departments whose goal is to increase the number of physics students that pursue a graduate-level technical career. One of the main activities of the York WRIPA team is to co-ordinate the PET Physics Year in Industry programme (PYiI) and the team is working with the university's Access and Participation Monitoring and Evaluation Team to evaluate if the programme is equitable to all physics students.
