Support for those affected by the events in the Middle East

We are currently monitoring events in the Middle East and advise any staff planning to travel to, within or from the region to follow the University's emergency overseas procedures for travel, including information on the practical support we can provide. You can also check the travel advice from the UK Government for the latest information and guidance.

We continue to offer University support and advice to anyone impacted by crises or conflict around the world and will work with colleagues to reach out to staff and student groups most affected by the recent events.

Many in our community will be worried about the safety of friends, family and colleagues in the region. In line with our York values, we ask everyone to show kindness, respect and humanity at this difficult time and to reach out to anyone you feel may be in need of support, signposting to the links provided above.
