The framework

The Staff Digital Skills Framework is designed to help you understand the skills needed to get the most out of IT systems and applications. Developing these skills is essential for navigating the ever-changing digital landscape, increasing your confidence and becoming more effective in your daily work.

Applicable to all staff at every level, the 24 skills of the framework are split into the following themes:

  • IT essentials
  • Innovation, adaptability and problem-solving
  • Ethics and security
  • Personal effectiveness, teamwork and collaboration
  • Information, media and data
  • Creation and communication.
