BSA Medical Sociology Conference at York

Posted on 26 September 2013

On 11th-13th September, the University of York hosted the annual British Sociological Associate annual Medical Sociology conference. Now in it's 45th year, MedSoc is an important event in the medical sociology calendar.

The programme contained research papers from all areas of medical sociology and anthropology and from researchers at all stages of their careers. This year, Prof. Catherine Pope (University of Southampton) and Prof Sarah Cunningham-Burley (University of Edinburgh) gave fascinating key note presentations.

A number of Sociology department staff participated at the conferences by giving papers including Sarah Nettleton, Ellen Annandale, Sian Beynon-Jones and Kim Jamie
