‘The social sciences have a great deal to offer businesses - from understanding the potential for new goods, services and business models to improving relationships with providers, customers and employers’ (ESRC)

The National Productivity Investment Fund (NPIF) Accelerating Business Collaboration (ABC) was awarded to the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of York (alongside our White Rose DTP partners at the Universities of Leeds and Sheffield) to build the capability and capacity of social science doctoral students and Early Career Researchers (ECRs) to engage and collaborate with business.

The aim of NPIF-ABC was not only to build capacity for our students and ECRs, but also for our wider Social Science community to better understand how their expertise can support the private sector and address key societal, economical and political challenges.
