Reinvigorating the Malé Declaration offers South Asia the opportunity to improve air quality

Eight countries in South Asia are recommitting to work together to tackle air pollution, bringing new hope to a region suffering from severe health and economic impacts from poor air quality. To do this they are reinvigorating a 24-year-old agreement on regional cooperation to reduce emissions to meet the needs of 2022 and beyond. SEI and the Climate and Clean Air Coalition are supporting the revival of the Malé Declaration as a forum to address air pollution and climate issues in the region.
