Dr Alex Hall has been awarded a £50,000 research grant.

Congratulations to Alex Hall who has been awarded £50k from the British Academy for her project, Sea Ports and security: the politics of the minor border.

The project will investigate the way in which pressing global security challenges - trafficking, migration, smuggling, terrorism - are managed in everyday practice at strategic UK sea ports.

The project is funded under the British Academy's Tackling International Challenges programme.
