Psychedelics in Medicine Society event
This talk will discuss the new conversations that have begun to emerge in drug policy, recreational drugs, and harm reduction. He will discuss the new challenges the police have, as well as the role universities like ours can play in policy, treatment and reducing drug related harms and stigma in North Yorkshire.
About the speaker
David McLean is a Politics and International Relations BA graduate currently working as the Harm Reduction officer for the North Yorkshire Police. Previously David worked for the City of York Council as a Scrutiny Officer and is currently part of a group of 10 officers sent by North Yorkshire Police to study data analytics/Evidence Based Policing at Cambridge University under Prof Lawrence Sherman.
