Event details

Ukraine Society event

The forum is dedicated to the one-year anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, events which had been unfolding since 2014.

The event consists of 2 parts: the chain of talks from our external guests and the panel discussion - One Year On - the Past, Present, and Future of Ukraine led by academics from the University of York. Discussions will unravel various aspects of the cruellest war in Europe since 1945 as well as give a glimpse of the daily lives of Ukrainian people, with a speaker presenting online all the way from Ukraine.

A reception afterwards will allow guests to find out more about the topics presented throughout the day and to meet some of the event speakers who will share their insights and answer questions.

(All attendees are invited to a drinks reception at 1.45 pm, before the talk at 2:15pm)
