Psychedelics in Medicine Society Lecture
Professor Nutt will discuss about how and why, in recent years, psychedelics have begun to recapture the attention of the scientific community. They are being talked about increasingly in the media for their seeming potential to treat depression, anxiety and other mental disorders. Professor Nutt will explain our current understanding of the nature and science of these drugs, covering possible psychological, biological and pharmacological mechanisms of action for the positive effects shown after psychedelic assisted psychotherapy.
