The Interdisciplinary Global Development Centre (IGDC) Lecture

The intersectionality and indivisibility of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) warrant inter-/cross-disciplinary academic enquiry and multi- agency / sectoral collaboration. If ever there was a time when the idiom “we cannot go it alone” held true, it is now! The success of any or all of the SDGs hinges on the strength of collaborative efforts, pooling of resources and leveraging of technical know how. The private and public sectors, civil society, academia, NGOs must all come together to ensure that we realise the ambition enshrined in the various SDGs. Goal#17 in effect is the load-bearing goal of the SDGs.
