My creative sound software practice - new instruments and modalities.
This seminar will introduce a selection of my projects, which are creative audio instruments and tools that are used by many musicians, sound artists and film sound designers. It will focus on the musical acoustics and the background research that informs my work and it will demonstrate the (often unusual) sounds that the software can produce. Some recent work will be shown which utilises modern technologies that have the potential to dramatically change the way we make music with computers. The presentation will be pitched for a non-technical audience and it should be of interest to anyone who is curious about sound.
Location: Rymer Auditorium
