Mastering Masterclass

A graduate of the University of Surrey’s Tonmeister program, Donal is a mastering engineer with over 25 years of experience. He began his career in London, at Chop Em Out, before moving to The Townhouse, followed by a spell with Fairlight in Sydney, Australia.

When he returned to the UK he established Hafod Mastering in his native Wales which is the leading mastering studio in the country. Donal works closely with clients from Wales, the UK and all over the world through his online mastering service 'Mastering World'.

Mastering World was the brain child of Donal, it combines three separate mastering studios, and six audio mastering engineers. The aim of Mastering World is to allow access to incredible mastering suites and engineers online, allowing artists to have their work mastered without having to attend sessions.

He has worked with a huge number of clients throughout his career, including The Kooks, Yr Ods, D:Ream, KT Tunstall, Goldie Lookin’ Chain, Al Lewis and Scouting for Girls.
