The Organising Committee (Elia Lorena López, Géraldine Enjelvin and Carmen Álvarez-Mayo) are pleased to announce that the Yorkshire Language Teaching Research & Scholarship (YLTRS) Network Symposium III will be hosted by the University of York on Thursday 11th September 2025.
This free, annual event is open to academic staff from the three affiliated universities (Leeds, Sheffield and York). Established in 2023, the YLTRS network provides an open forum for language scholars at all career stages to share knowledge, research, and professional practices. The network’s key aims are to:
- support and connect language professionals at the regional level
- stimulate discussions and collaborative problem-solving on key issues such as AI, inclusivity, assessment, curriculum decolonisation, etc.
- encourage colleagues to bring creative thinking into their teaching practice
thereby improving both student and practitioner experiences.
