About us

Our mission is to improve the lives and care of anyone affected by mental health problems.

We do this by developing and evaluating new interventions, understanding and mitigating risks to mental health, protecting mental wellbeing, and normalising common and expected human responses to adverse or changing circumstances.

Our leadership and delivery team

The strategic planning and day-to-day operations of the Institute of Mental Health Research at York (IMRY) is carried out by IMRY's Leadership and Delivery Team.

We also have a steering group, as well as a number of research fellows, funded both internally and externally.
