A full fee waiver at the Home/UK rate to a full-time student who has applied to study on one of the Department of History’s MA programmes.

The Department is grateful to History alumnus Francis McCormack for establishing the McCormack Scholarship. This is an award of a fee waiver at the UK rate, open to any Home or International (including EU) student who has applied to study on one of the Department’s MA programmes.

How to apply

Application deadline: Tuesday 3 May 2022, 5pm BST

You will be considered for the scholarship if, by the deadline, you have:

  1. applied for a Department of History Taught MA programme or applied to the Department of History MA by Research
  2. submitted the application form to the Department of History, explaining the reasons you wish to be considered for a scholarship. Please note that this scholarships application form only needs to be filled in once to apply for all scholarships administered by the Department of History, i.e. Departmental scholarships, Alcuin scholarship, Hamspon Scholarship, McCormack scholarship, Wellcome Trust scholarship).

How we allocate

Applications for MA scholarships will be judged on evidence of academic merit, and any specific or additional criteria set out above.
