The Department of History invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified applicants for this year’s British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship scheme, for awards to be taken up in autumn 2027.

York is ranked 8th in the UK for history in the latest release of the Complete University Guide league tables (2027).

Head of the Department of History, Professor Oleg Benesch, says, “We are delighted that Laura’s scholarship has been recognised by such a prestigious organisation as The Leverhulme Trust.
