On Tuesday 3rd July Sanjoy Bhattacharya (Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Global Health Histories at the University of York) and Victoria Turner (CGHH Associate & Public Health Specialty Registrar, Associate Clinical Fellow, Department of Health Sciences, University of York) were at the WHO Regional Office for Europe in Copenhagen for the 107th Global Health Histories Seminar ‘Cultural contexts of health: vaccine hesitancy - Why do some people not vaccinate?’

In this seminar two international experts, Heidi Larson (London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine), Robb Butler (WHO Regional Office for Europe), explored the historical, environmental, cultural and social contexts of vaccine hesitancy and consider its impact on immunization programmes today.
