PhD Student to Present Paper in Paris

PhD Student Isabelle Gapp is to speak at the second edition of the Terra Foundation Research Workshops in Paris next month.

Isabelle Gapp‌The Terra Foundation has generously funded Isabelle's trip to Paris, where she will present her paper Our Home and Native Land – The American Landscape in the Paintings of Birger Sandzén and John F. Carlson, alongside speakers from Göttingen, Paris and Montreal at the Research Workshop: “Framing Environmental Dimensions in American Art”.

Isabelle is currently working on her PhD thesis 'An exploration of how Scandinavian art - primarily that of Norway, Denmark and Sweden and North American art reciprocally influenced each other between 1912 and 1932', supervised by Professor Jason Edwards.

The workshop takes place on 5 April 2018 at 5:00 pm at the Terra Foundation for American Art Paris Center & Library.  The event is free and open to all.  For further details and the programme please see the Terra Foundation website.
