Postdoctoral Success for Former PhD Student

Posted on 23 March 2018

Alumna Dr Charlotte Drew has secured a second Postdoctoral fellowship, this time at the Paul Mellon Centre.

‌After being awarded her PhD from York, Charlotte went on to become Henry Moore Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of History of Art at the University of Bristol.   The Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Paul Mellon Centre will begin in April 2019 when she has completed her Henry Moore Fellowship.

The project investigates Italian sculpture at the South Kensington Museum and its impact on Victorian sculpture criticism and practice using virtual exhibition software to recreate the historic displays. The online exhibition will help to reimagine this key location in the history of sculpture, exploring changing attitudes to the medium and contributing to Victorian sculpture studies, museum studies and the reception of the Italian Renaissance in the nineteenth century.

Many congratulations to Charlotte!
