MA Partnership Studentships 2013

Posted on 19 June 2013

The Department of History of Art is delighted to invite applications for four partnership studentships, open to full-time MA in History of Art or pathway degree applicants commencing their studies in Autumn 2013.

We are delighted to confirm that all four of our 2012-13 studentship partners (Friends of York Art Gallery / York Art Gallery, Middlesbrough Institute for Modern Art (mima), the National Railway Museum and the Yorkshire Museum) have renewed their funding for 2013-14.

Each of the four studentships offers a partial fee waiver of £5,000 and the opportunity to undertake a volunteer placement at the respective gallery or museum. Applications are welcomed from all full-time offer-holders, regardless of fee status.

The deadline for applications for the mima, National Railway and York Art Gallery studentships is 4pm (BST) on Wednesday 3rd July. The deadline for the Yorkshire Museum studentship is 4pm (BST) on Wednesday 17th July 2013. For full details on each studentship, and the application process, please see our partnership studentship webpage.

In order to be eligible to apply, applicants must already be holding an offer of a place to commence full-time study on the MA in History of Art (or related pathway degree) in Autumn 2013. If you are yet to submit a programme application, please do so by no later than Friday 28th June (Monday 8th July for the Yorkshire Museum studentship), and notify our Postgraduate Administrator (susanna.broom@york.ac.uk) that you are hoping to submit a partnership studentship application, so we can ensure your programme application is processed in time.
