Professor Whitney Davis (Berkeley) to visit York

Whitney Davis will give a department research seminar on Tuesday 14th June. He will also participate in other activities such as a postgraduate lunch and seminar on Thursday 16th June and will led a 'Cultures of the Global' research strand discussion event with Sarah Turner. Whitney Davis is a leading scholar in the field of art history and visual culture. At York, he will be speaking about his work on 'World art studies' and his new book A General Theory of Visual Culture (Princeton, 2011).
