William Etty exhibition at York Art Gallery

An important exhibition of York-born artist William Etty will open at York Art Gallery on 25th June. 'William Etty: Art and Controversy' is co-curated by Dr Sarah Burnage, who graduated from the History of Art Department in 2008. The catalogue is edited by Sarah, along with Professor Mark Hallett, Head of the History of Art Department, and the curator of art at the gallery, Laura Turner. It also contains essays by History of Art Department members of staff Dr Jason Edwards and Dr Sarah Turner.
