Success in the RAE
The newly published Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) has confirmed History of Art at York as one of the top-ranking research departments in the UK. The RAE places York 2nd for 4* or 'world-leading' research in History of Art. The Head of the History of Art department, Professor Mark Hallett, commented 'This is a wonderful result for us, and confirms our status as a truly world-class centre for art-historical research.'
