Mental Health and Addiction

Welcome to the York Mental Health and Addiction Research Group (MHARG)

ABOUT US

At the Mental Health and Addiction Research Group (MHARG), our research is fundamental to shaping mental health services. We adopt a multidisciplinary approach, integrating population, clinical, behavioural, economic, environmental and digital solutions to identify research to address real life needs and concerns.  We do this by collaborating with different organisations enabling us to incorporate external stakeholders in every aspect of our work. Our focus is on the prevention, early intervention, treatment and rehabilitation of people with mental health conditions through all stages of life.

Collaboration

MHARG sits within the Department of Health Sciences and the Hull York Medical School.  It is strongly supported by the Institute of Mental Health (IMRY) at York.
