A Conversation Between Hirsh Sawhney and Claire Chambers

Hirsh Sawhney is the author of a novel, South Haven, about grief and growing up brown in suburban America and the proliferation of rightwing Hindu extremism. The novel was a Barnes and Noble Discover Great New Writers Pick, and it was nominated for the DSC Prize for South Asian Literature. Hirsh is a regular contributor to the TLS, and he has written for the New York Times, the Guardian, the Financial Times, and the Indian Express. He is the editor of Delhi Noir, a critically acclaimed anthology of crime fiction, and he teaches at Wesleyan University.
