Call for papers: The first York Economic History & Political Economy Workshop

The Department of Economics and Related Studies calls for papers for the first York Economic History & Political Economy workshop held from Thursday the 30th to Friday the 31st of May 2024 at King’s Manor, York.

The theme of the workshop is “Cities and the Wealth of Nations“ which includes all aspects of political economy, spatial inequality, economic geography, institutional economics, economic history, economic growth, and development economics, all from a long-run perspective.
Please send the title of the paper you wish to present, along with a full paper or an extended abstract (500-700 words), to econ-ehpe-workshop@york.ac.uk no later than February the 29th. Contributions will be selected based on quality and fit with the conference theme. There is no workshop fee, refreshments and food will be provided. We can grant some travel support funds for PhD students and early-career researchers.
