Focus4TAPS in the North East

CIEC’s advisory teachers, Nicky Waller and Mackayla Millar, have successfully delivered the second of three training days to three cohorts of primary teachers across the North East of England.
The Focus4TAPS programme is developed by Sarah Earle at Bath Spa University, funded by the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF), with resources hosted by the Primary Science Teaching Trust (PSTT).
It is a high-quality professional development initiative designed to strengthen the teaching and assessment of primary science, placing a particular emphasis on assessing practical enquiry tasks and supporting children to become more reflective, independent learners.
