Develop your workforce: child-friendly communication skills

In today’s science-driven world, your people aren’t just experts in their fields—they are role models for the next generation. Yet communicating complex science, career pathways, and sustainability goals to young audiences requires a specific set of skills. That’s where we come in.

We provide tailored, in-person communication training, delivered on your premises, designed to equip your STEM professionals with the tools and confidence to inspire primary-aged children and their teachers. By helping your teams communicate effectively with this age group, your company amplifies its positive impact on the community, strengthens its STEM outreach efforts, and contributes meaningfully to the future talent pipeline.

The training session

Our 5-hour interactive training session:

  • Builds understanding of children’s typical science knowledge, vocabulary, and interests.
  • Equips professionals with engaging strategies for school visits, site tours, and STEM events.
  • Aligns with your company’s people, processes, and values through pre-session consultation.
  • Includes ongoing support after the session to ensure your people feel confident and prepared.

On the day, your dedicated trainer arrives early to set the tone for an impactful session—and we stay connected afterwards with follow-up support via email or virtual calls.

The outcome

Your STEM professionals become confident communicators, your business strengthens its community engagement, and your brand is recognised as a leader in inspiring future scientists, engineers, and innovators.

Packages start at £2,000.

The training was really fantastic, hands-on and practical. As a chemist, I know how complex science can be, but this gave me and my team the skills and confidence to break it down talk and demonstrate experimentally in a way that young children can truly enjoy and understand. We left feeling well-prepared and inspired to create our own interactive science activities and also made all of us enthusiastic regarding the school visits. The feedback from the children has been amazing, very moving and made it all it worthwhile. It’s been a brilliant way to give something back to the community and by helping young people see the excitement of science and what a career in STEM could offer them.
