Event details

The CIEC team has created a series of high-quality videos, featuring real children in real classrooms from Y1 to Y6, working scientifically. These videos accompany the Oak National Academy science curriculum, launched in 2024, and have been created by the CIEC team in partnership with Oak.

In this session, discover, and discuss with colleagues, how the videos can support teachers in the delivery of the Working Scientifically aspects of the national curriculum, and increase teacher confidence to explore children's ideas, higher order thinking and develop their practical skills. There will be an opportunity to dip into and discuss the range of Oak science resources, all of which are free for teachers to use and amend to fit their school's and children's circumstances.
