STEM ambassadors: developing your own hands-on activity

Join Mackayla Millar who will be leading these two hour workshops aimed at helping STEM Ambassadors develop their own hands-on activity, which can be used to run fun, interactive sessions with 7–11-year-olds in clubs or classrooms. You will create an activity that directly relates to your job or studies and can be used in volunteering for years to come. The workshop takes place online and is run by the Centre for Industry Education Collaboration at the University of York.

Workshops will each focus on one topic, with several to choose from:

• 1 April: Sustainability
• 14 May: Pharmaceuticals
• 25 June: How scientists work
• 8 July: Engineering
• 29 July: TBC: The most popular session repeated
