Annual
Beacon Equality and Diversity Lecture

We are excited to be hosting Stephen Hendry of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) to deliver our annual Beacon EDI lecture.

The title of Stephen’s talk is: “Socioeconomic Inclusion in Chemistry: A Landscape Analysis of Diverse Socioeconomic Backgrounds and Implications for Undergraduate Career Trajectories.” There has been lots of brilliant work undertaken in the department, dismantling barriers to socioeconomic inclusion. This event is a great opportunity to find out more about the RSC’s strategy and for us to reflect on how we can have more impact.

Zoom details: We will be running this lecture in hybrid format, in C/A/101 and over Zoom for anybody who is unable to attend in person. Zoom link (York students and staff only).

Location: C/A101 and online. Everyone is welcome to attend.
