CHE is very saddened to hear the news that Dr Sandra G. Sosa-Rubí recently passed away, leaving her partner and two young daughters. Sandra did her PhD at the University of York, graduating in 2006 and is remembered very fondly indeed by many current and former CHE staff as a very talented health economist and a warm, friendly and generous colleague. She was based at the National Institute of Public Health (INSP) in Cuernavaca, Mexico, and her work focused on applied health and behavioural economics with a special emphasis on maternal and adolescent health, vulnerable populations and HIV prevention and treatment.
