CEEM benefits from the expertise of an interdisciplinary membership of academics from across the School of Physics, Engineering and Technology, and the Department of Chemistry.

Together, we are able to tackle major challenges in the development of advanced materials synthesis, characterisation and predictive modelling.

Director, Keith McKenna

Keith McKenna, CEEM Director

Our Director, Dr Keith McKenna, is a Reader in the School of Physics, Engineering and Technology and an EPSRC Fellow. His research employs theoretical modelling to understand the structural, electronic and chemical properties of nanoscale and nanostructured materials in order to improve functionality for diverse applications in oxide electronics, energy, and catalysis.
