Together with our partners and students, we have developed a new participatory approach to monitor the realisation of human rights in York.
A survey conducted in the city identified five priority rights for York by surveying those living and working in the city. They included non-discrimination and equality, education, health and social care, an adequate standard of living, and housing.
Annual reports are published to record progress in York against these rights and associated indicators, and to stimulate debate and action on human rights in the city. For more information, visit York: Human Rights City.
