Sir Jack Lyons Research Scholarship

The Sir Jack Lyons Scholarship is for a PhD student. The scholarship provides a contribution towards fees equal to the full Home rate plus a contribution towards maintenance. The scholarship is for the duration of PhD registration (three years).

Funding
The scholarship comprises home fees plus a stipend of up to £3000 per annum for the 3 years of your degree. It does not cover any writing up time.

The main criterion for this award is academic excellence and promise, but previous accomplishments and contribution to the musical life of the School of Arts and Creative Technologies will also be taken into account.

In order to be eligible you must also have an offer for a place on one of the following courses:

Overseas applicants must also demonstrate that they can supply the remainder of the fees required for the full three years.

You'll need to submit your personal details, your academic details and some written statements.

Applications should clearly state your case for the award. Give a summary of your research, including your goals and prospective outcomes. You should also describe your achievements to date and your proposed or existing activities, and outline how your work will fit with the ethos and research aims of the School of Arts and Creative Technologies.
