Reflecting Terry Holme's long support for contemporary music composition, performance, and collaboration, the Holmes Scholars will be expected to take a leading role in the contemporary music life of the department, including running Chimera, our student-led contemporary ensemble providing performances of student compositions alongside broader contemporary repertoire.

Annually, we will award one scholarship to a PhD student in music composition or contemporary performance entering 2nd year, to be held for two years; and one scholarship to either an MA music composition student or a PhD student in music composition or contemporary performance entering first year, to be held for one year.

FT and PT students are eligible to apply.
