Event details
Will Ing has worked in radio and television for over 25 years, mainly as a writer and script editor, working on hit shows like Would I Lie To You, 8 Out of 10 Cats, the Bafta winning kids' show Operation Ouch and the sitcom, Miranda. Fifteen years ago he set up the production company, Black Dog Television and started creating and producing his own shows. He has recently written and produced two series of the kids’ comedy, Pickle Storm, for the BBC and a new crime drama, Art Detectives, which is currently showing in both America and the UK.
In this talk Will explains how television commissioning works, how TV production companies operate, and how you as a writer or producer can get an idea from inside your head and onto TV, without making all the mistakes he made!
