Production Challenge with Screen Yorkshire
Event details
**This workshop is only available to School of ACT students studying FTP (UG + PG)**
What do you do if your lead actor drops out the night before filming starts?
Or you wake up to a snowstorm on the day of your shoot?
Or your presenter decides they don’t like the title of the programme and refuses to say it on camera?
These are all genuine situations that can arise on a production and your best chance to come up with the right solution is to have thought about it beforehand. This two hour workshop, delivered by Screen Yorkshire, aims to prepare you for the moment when things go wrong, as they tend to do on a regular basis on even the most established production. You’ll be presented with common problems that productions experience and will have to troubleshoot your way out of them, with the support of Screen Yorkshire and ACT staff. By thinking about how you would respond to these issues and more, you will come away better informed about how to deal with a crisis on set and, more importantly, how to prevent them developing in the first place by building strong relationships on your production teams.
