Event details
Ricochet Theatre workshop
Join Ella McKeown, artistic director of alumni company Ricochet Theatre, for a practical workshop using Lecoq-inspired practices to perform short Shakespeare monologues. This workshop will look at ways of analysing text through the use of games and patterns, providing ideas and techniques for further exploration. Please come dressed in comfortable clothing that you can move freely in.
Ricochet Theatre are an award-winning new writing theatre company set up by former University of York students. They make meticulously crafted text-based work sometimes through a devising process, but most often by working closely with writers and staging their scripts.
Ella McKeown is a neurodiverse theatre director and facilitator from London with a particular interest in puppetry, music and impossible stage directions. She is the artistic director of Ricochet Theatre.
