York was incredibly well represented at the United Kingdom chapter of the Computer Applications and Quantitative Methods in Archaeology (CAA) conference in Cambridge University in early December 2025. York alumni presented projects they had undertaken during their degrees, including "Avebury Revisualised: Digital Cartographies of a Contested Past" by Madeline Meltsen, "An Audio-Tactile Approach to Accessibility in Heritage" by Abigail Goodland, "Archaeological Gameplay: Using Rougelite Videogames as a Pedagogical Tool to Teach Archaeological Materials" by Katrine Haydock and "Reimagining Heritage: Using Game Jams to Disrupt the Archive" by Matthew Morton. Other York staff, students and alumni presenting included Marco Brunello, Eloise Bryans, Meng Meng, Dushyant Naresh, and Alphaeus Lien-Talks.

York staff from the Archaeology Data Service presented "Archaeological Digital Twins and the ARTEMIS Project: The Story So Far."

We applaud these contributions to cutting-edge research in digital archaeology and heritage.
