Sustainable Development Grant funds two new projects

Congratulations to the latest successful York SU Sustainable Development Grant applicants! York SU are pleased to have awarded funding to the following projects:

The Green Chemistry Sustainability Team’s ‘From Waste to Growth’ initiative aimed at utilising coffee waste to generate compost for us in the Green Chemistree Garden.

Student volunteering group Creatures on Campus project to set up three new trail cameras to expand how biodiversity on campus is monitored and to support greater engagement with nature on campus among students.
We wish the projects the greatest success in getting up and running, watch this space for future updates on their progress and impact.
If you feel inspired by these latest grant winners, the deadline to apply for the next funding review is 12 March.
Applications are accepted from projects or initiatives that address at least one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Students are given priority access to the grant and they are keen to receive more student applications this year, however staff members are also encouraged to apply.
