"York is very picturesque and I still walk around town staring at the buildings and the architecture. It’s very different from where I come from in Sweden."
Meet our Human of York, Demi:
“I chose York because it was the only university with a Masters in Digital Heritage I could find in Europe (well, I think there are some in Germany, which would be great if I spoke German!).
"York is very picturesque and I still walk around every time I am in town just staring at the buildings and the architecture. It’s very different from where I come from in Sweden. I was honestly also astonished by the great availability of vegetarian options in restaurants - oh, and the fact that York smells like a chocolate brownie, I still cannot get over that!
"Of course I miss my family back in Sweden, in particular my boyfriend and my dog, but also Swedish crisps! The English ones are unfortunately not the same, and everyone who has tried Swedish crisps understands what I mean…
"My greatest tip for anyone thinking of studying a Masters is probably to give everything you really want to do a good thought and a good shot. If you’re faced with obstacles I encourage you to persist, because even if the application process was long I am extremely satisfied with my decision to move to York and start this course.”
