Undergraduate Open Days

If you are thinking of applying to the University but would like to visit before deciding for sure, you should come to an Open Day, make an independent visit, or attend a subject taster day.

Our next Open Days for 2013 entry are:

  • Wednesday 4 July 2012
  • Saturday 29 September 2012
Booking is essential in order to receive a copy of the programme. Booking for July is open now, and for the September event the booking will open in July (after the July Open Day). The booking form will close approximately two weeks prior to each Open Day.

To book on to Wednesday 4 July please select the most relevant booking form:

In the meantime, for alternative ways to visit the University of York, please use the information below.

Other ways to visit

If you can not make one of our Open Days, there are plenty of other opportunities to visit the University of York:

Visiting on your own

If you would like to visit on your own, you can make an independent visit to the University of York.

Subject taster days

In the spring and summer terms, subject taster days allow students to find out more about some of our academic departments.

Campus tours

Our Student Ambassador led campus tours are ideal for potential students who are looking to find out more about the University of York but are unable to make another visit such as an Open Day. The tours last for approximately one hour and are a good way of looking around campus with one of our current students.

Visiting after you get an offer

If you are made an offer during the admissions season or if the department to which you apply wishes to interview you, you will be invited to a departmental visit.

Those post-application visits are always of great interest to applicants: they offer the opportunity to hear about our programmes in more detail and to talk to present students. Tours of the campus and information about accommodation and other facilities are also provided.
