The University of York has recently signed an exchange agreement with the Univertsity of Rhodes, South Africa.

The first exchange students will attend for the spring semester 2013. If you are interested in this opportunity please contact the Study Abroad Office.

 EU Erasmus 25th anniversary competition on Facebook

The European Commission has just launched a "25th Erasmus Anniversary Competition" on Facebook, as part of the Youth on the Move promotion campaign. This is a separate competition to the annual UK Erasmus/ LLP Competition which the British Council is running as usual for participants from the UK. However students and staff can take part in both competitions.

The objective of the EU contest is to share personal Erasmus experiences to encourage others to enjoy the benefits of studying in another European country. They are looking for funny, exciting or moving stories (preferably in English), in any format, whether text, photo or video. Anyone who has been abroad on an Erasmus exchange is encouraged to participate.

The Youth on the Move team will shortlist the top 10 entries, then Facebook users will vote to choose the three prize-winners, which will also be published on the Youth on the Move website.
