York Athena Swan Self Assessment Team
In autumn 2023, the Athena Swan Steering Group was replaced by a task and finish group, York Athena Swan Self Assessment Team (YASSAT), responsible for conducting an assessment of the University’s progress on its gender equality aims and for applying for the University’s next Athena Swan award in September 2024.
YASSAT Terms of Reference and Membership
As part of their work, YASSAT will recommend a governance structure to lead on delivering the University's gender equality commitments and oversee the implementation of the next Athena Swan Action Plan.
Athena Swan faculty working groups
Athena Swan Faculty Working Groups are made up of a Chair (see above members of the AS Steering Group), Athena Swan departmental representatives (see below), the Athena Swan Coordinator and representatives from Human Resources and the Planning Department. The working groups support departments in preparing submissions and coordinate Athena Swan work within each faculty.
