LINK Project

A £1.6M project on Inorganic Bio-polymer composites led by the Green Chemistry Centre of Excellence has been approved for funding by DEFRA (co-funders with HGCA and Industry). The partners on the project are York, the Bangor Bio-composites Centre, B&Q, PQ corporation (formally Ineos Silicas), Botanix, Bical, C S Process Engineering, Velcourt, and Bioflame giving us a complete supply chain and representing raw material suppliers, chemical processing, boards manufacturing, technology providers and end-users.

The project will involve the use of a biorefinery approach in generating all of the main components of general purpose boards from biomass.
