My research interests include the acceptance and diffusion of disruptive innovations. More specifically looking at the case of how open source software is shifting the traditional paradigm of closed source software development. Broadly speaking my current research involves studying the non-linear relationships between disruptive innovations (D.I), current incumbent innovations and environmental dynamics under which an initially rare D.I can make successful invasions into well established incumbent resident populations.
Title of Research Topic: Modelling the Potential of Disruptive Innovations: The Case of Open Source Software reaching Critical Mass.
