My research considers organisations as Complex Adaptive Systems (CAS) capable of evolving to create new emergent configurations in order to survive. I shall consider the application of Complexity Theory to Organisation Design.
Title of Research Topic: I believe that Manufacturing Configurations will Adapt and Evolve due to Environmental Impacts.
Supervisors: Professor Jon Timmis (Computer Science) and Dr Kiran Fernandes (Management).
I was funded by Bradford Metropolitan District Council (BMDC) to undertake a Masters Degree in Management at the University of York (2003-2005). This was part of the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000 and the Local Authority’s Graduate Management Development Programme. I graduated in 2006 and currently work in the telecommunications sector. I successfully achieved a scholarship to undertake a PhD at The York Management School (TYMS) and am supervised by Professor Jon Timmis and Dr Kiran Fernandes. My research considers the application of Complexity Theory to Organisations; in particular the decision making process and emergent configurations.
